The brief

Studio Fresh Net needed frontend for a series of competition microsites for Big Shock! — an energy drink brand aimed at a young, urban audience. The brief was light: make it work, make it look good, make sure young people want to click. From mid-2022 onwards, that work came to us.

What was difficult

Most campaign work comes with tight constraints — brand guidelines, locked assets, approval chains. Big Shock! had almost none of that. That’s a different kind of challenge.

Each campaign lives in a completely different visual world. Venom was cinematic Marvel darkness — red, black, film stills, full-bleed atmosphere. Hunger Games was ornate fantasy gold. Celebration was festival crowd and deep black. The design changed every time. So did the animation logic, the layout, the interaction patterns.

The frontend had to bring it to life — parallax, animated entrances, interactive code-entry mechanic — while keeping the core flow fast and simple. A young audience won’t wait.

What was built

A series of competition microsites running since 2022. Some tied to licensed IPs — Marvel’s Venom, the Hunger Games franchise. Others were original campaigns built around Big Shock!‘s own brand identity.

Each one different. Each one animated. All of them shipped.
